Bulk Cooking

Hello Dear Readers!

Wow, I can't believe it's the start middle of a New Year already, I hope that you all had a wonderful Holiday season!

So one interesting thing that we've been up to is The First Bulk Cooking Day of 2013! Two of my very sweet friends, Anna and Gracie from over at Gracie's Tasties came over and made us about 27 meals! It was a pretty wonderful day, full of laughter, shopping, searching for a Starbucks, and cooking.

So we made Chalupa, Corn-Hamburger Casserole, Lasagna, Italian Enchiladas, Crispy Bake Burritos, Sloppy Joes, and Chicken-Rice Casserole. Our house smelled soo good.

This, dear readers, is a 43 lb block of Cheddar cheese.
We got it at the Business Costco near us, and we finally opened it up today. It's a really good quality, so we were happy about that.

Chalupa is really yummy. Trust me.

Here's Gracie (The Other one!!) She's going to put up all of the recipes
on her blog, so if you would like to make any of the wonderful foods that we made, just go to her blog at Gracie's Tasties

Here's Anna being a doll and washing the dishes. I love these girls. <3

Ok, so my older brother played a prank on Anna, so to make it even, while we were having lunch break, this is what we did to his room:

It was really funny, he laughed pretty hard when he saw his newly decorated room. =)

How was your New Years? What did you do?

Blessings,

~Gracie

Coffee Smoothie and Mozzarella

Do you like coffee? I like it sometimes, if it's made just right. I like to make it iced, and I decided I show you how I make it here.
But before I show you how, isn't this pretty? It's a Mozzarella Cheese I made, and it has LOTS of tasty herbs and oils on in. I'll have to show you how to make it sometime.=)

Anyways, coffee. Here is the cast of Characters:

Water, Chocolate syrup, Whipped Cream, Kalua, Coffee (Ground and whole) Chocolate Chips And (Not pictured) Ice and Milk. I don't know why I put the coffee maker and blender in there.....

                 1. Heat up your water.

2.  While it's heating, pour your ground coffee into whatever you make coffee in. ( I didn't make much, so I used our French press.)

                                                     3. Pour the water over the coffee.Let it sit for awhile.

                                                      4. Now measure out the Kahlua, a little under 1/4 cup

5. Put it in the blender with the same amount of Chocolate syrup.

 6. Here is the ice, throw that into the blender too.
                                               7. Add milk.

                                                  8. Add the coffee, and enjoy the ombre effect. =]

                                                     9. Add your sweetener (I used stevia) and blend it all up.

                                     10. Chop up your chocolate and coffee beans, coarsely though, we want chunks!

                                               11. Pour coffee mix into glass, and put whipped cream on.

                                       12. Top with chocolate sauce, Chocolate chunks and choped coffee beans.

                                   I hope you enjoy it!

Thankful Friday ~Homemade Vitamin Water

Wow, we have been BUSY!!! Hence the reason there's such a gap between these posts. =)

So, there's this REALLY cool website called Pinterest and on it, it showed how to make homemade Vitamin water. I really, really, REALLY like vitamin water, but hate paying for, well, water. So I decided to make my own.

              ~Cast of Characters~
Strawberries, Mint, Rhubarb, Water, Stevia, Cherries, Raspberries, and more mint.

I made 2 varieties, Strawberry Rhubarb Mint and Cherry Raspberry Mint.

I'll show you how to do Strawberry Rhubarb Mint first.
It's ingredients are: Strawberries, Rhubarb, Mint, Water and Stevia. Pretty simple. This ain't rocket science, folks. ;)

First, wash the Strawberries, Mint and Rhubarb.

Then chop them up.

Then plonk the chopped up herbs/berries into a mason jar and fill with water.

I then set it aside and started on the Cherry flavored water.

Here are the lovely ingredients: Mint, Cherries, Raspberries, Water and Stevia.

Repeat all the above steps. Wash, chop, put in jar and fill up with water.

Then once the jars are filled up with water, I like to add a few drops of Stevia.

Then you let them sit and infuse for awhile, about 12 hours or so.

And there you have it!!! =)
